TWO Apple tablets—a six-incher and a bigger machine? September unveiling? Misinfo campaign confusing media?
OK, here are links for those interested. In a related vein, keep in mind a recent Sunday Times story mentioning Apple’s mix of secrecy and lies: “Executives feed deliberate misinformation into one part of the company so that any leak can be traced back to its source.”
Could that be one reason why it’s so hard to get at the truth here? Might Apple have even cooked up some special demo models to confuse the press and analysts? A recent BusinessWeek piece might well be on target. But who knows?
BW excerpt: “One of Apple’s prototype devices is able to run all Mac applications, and allows for video and audio editing and graphic animation, Doherty says. Another, which looks like a larger iPod, lends itself to watching videos, playing games, and reading e-books.” The latter is said to have a six-inch screen. Also see a MacRumors story.
