Most importantly, Adobe's current DE DRM has been cracked and once Adobe ePub is stripped of its DRM shackles, it is like any other ePub file. It is easily converted and/or edited to however one likes it. This is especially exciting because LRF was never cracked (no one cared enough to crack it). With a little more competitive pricing, Sony could potentially drive a lot of sales away from Amazon. I know that for a $9.99 pricing scheme, I would much sooner go to Sony to buy an ePub file to convert for my Kindle than I would go to Amazon to buy a mobipocket file.
