As noted on mobileread.com, one of the colors of the PRS-505 is also no longer available from the Sony Style store.

Actually, come to think of it, the ideal situation for me (suggested by the writer above) would be a Sony Reader iPhone app. Then I could use my Sony Reader when the light is not optimal and my iPhone whenever it isn’t. Man that would be perfect. Sony do it Please!!!

Canadian store says it’s “Out of stock”.

I’ve still got my PRS-500 sitting on my headboard gathering dust. Ever since Kindle for the iPhone came out I’ve been reading all of my books on my iPhone. The Kindle book prices are better and there’s a larger selection. PLUS I can buy a book without having to download it into some proprietary desktop software that’s way too slow.

From the looks of it the PRS-700 isn’t even sold through Sony Style anymore. It’s not listed on the U.S. site at all.

Personally, I never really considered buying the 700 because the price is much more than I can chew right now. I’m still clutching to my ancient 500 and loving it. If Sony did come out with a Reader that had wireless capabilities, I’d probably break down and buy one.
