If so, it was worthy of Lucasfilm. Making edits like that isn't that easy to do and make look realistic. As an SFX fanatic, I'm pretty good at picking out film manipulation, and I'd say there was none there.

Maybe the content was somehow altered, but it looked to me like the device was cacheing the content so as not to have to "turn" pages as often. I also understand (from MobileRead comments) that

You can turn off that black-transition effect on Bookeen devices, and

Holding the control button down allows it to scroll and transition without going to the black-transition.

Something fishy here. Just after he flips it from portrait to landscape, we see the familiar negative image. Nowhere else.

Could it be that this video was edited to make it look this way, but cutting out all the frames showing the 'fade to black' page transitions?

Google translation:

MobileRead members know how to find the limits of a reader. Often they lie in the management of file formats, the lack of ergonomics etc ... Having received was generally positive in previous tests, it only remains for us to see if its electronic paper display (a crucial element in a reader!) Was quality. What joy when we saw the pages! This is surely the most amazing video that we were able to take Cybook Opus during his presentation to members of MobileRead. "Scroll" an electronic book is now possible.

Yahoo Babelfish translation:

The members of MobileRead can find the limits of a reader. Very often, those are located in the management of the formats of file, in the lack of ergonomics etc… Having received an overall positive opinion in the preceding tests, it any more but did not remain us to be seen whether its electronic paper screen (a crucial factor on a reader!) was of quality. What a joy when we saw ravelling the pages! It is surely it video most astonishing that we could take of Cybook Opus at the time of its presentation to the members of MobileRead. “To divide into sheets” one e-book is from now on possible thing.
