It was still one sale when I got mine on the 22nd (Monday). There were very very few left in the area (San Francisco bay) but it was still one sale.

I reserved mine through the website the morning of the tenth and picked it up locally that evening. I think the promotion did a great job of clearing the entire chain’s stock of 505′s.

There was a $20 coupon for the Reader the following week – but that hardly compared.

The coupon I saw was only good til June 14th. All of the Borders in this town were sold out by the 13th.

I work at Borders and asked my manager about this this morning. It is still on sale and will remain on sale through Sunday. There’s a little printed Father’s Day flier that staff are (or should be) handing out advertising the sale. I don’t think you even need a Borders Rewards card to get it (though they’re free and will net you $5 in-store credit for every $150 you spend–another little cherry on top of the deal).

I picked it up the day the coupon arrived – I believe the 11th. Plenty of 700′s in stock, but only one 505.

That Borders sale was from June 10 – 14, but Borders.com sold out within hours of the coupon being sent out, and most stores were sold out in a day or two.

In any case, the coupon has expired.
