Wizz-e.com: children’s ebook site

By Paul Biba

logowizz-e.com is a  commercial site dedicated to electronic books for children.  It’s an interesting concept.  You buy an ebook and let your child read it on the computer. The books are illustrated and animated, have read-along highlighting and, among other things,  allow kids to click on a word they don’t know and hear it spoken. It seems to be all done in Flash.  Kids can even write reviews of the books for other kids to read.  The books can be stored on the site or downloaded to the user’s computer. If you have children up to about 8 years old you might want to take a look. There are a couple of free ebooks on line to test the site out.  Prices are in Pounds and the books run 4.99.
