iTunes music to go DRM-free!!!
By Paul Biba
At the keynote address of the Macworld Expo, Apple announced that iTunes will go DRM-free on 8 million iTunes songs as of today. By the end of the quarter the remaining 2 million songs will be DRM-free, making the entire catalog available without DRM. You can read Macworld’s coverage of the keynote here.
Well, if Apple can do it with the music industry, how long will it take publishers to wake up and notice that the playing field has changed? if past history is any example, too long, I’m afraid.
I have never purchased anything from iTunes because of the DRM, preferring to get DRM-free downloads from Amazon instead. Now Apple will be added to my source of music, showing that a lack of DRM is just a good business practice.

yeah, but what about the bitrate? Not gonna pay their price for 128 or 192, when Amazon and Rhapsody are selling drm-free at 256 (and have been for a while)

Excellent news. Is that the death knell of DRM I hear clanging in the distance?

Really good news. DRM free for all iTunes music.
I often used wondershare streaming Video Recorder to download DRM music, videos here.

Now it is no use for all music.
How about DRM Videos, DRM movies, and DRM TV shows? When we get free DRM of them.
