Isilo still does NOT support RTF files!!

You should update/correct the review!!

There is a tedious way of doing a conversion to a pdb file, but it’d be better if it would just read them directly (you can find directions on the web for RYF conversion).

Oops! Meant to ask some questions, too.

1) How well does it handle RTF files?

I have a bunch of Wordsmith RTF files that I used on the Palm (several hundred in fact), that I’d like to transfer over to the IPT. I’m hoping that they’ll display well.

2) How does it work with the desktop program? I’m used to running my iSilo X and then hot synching the content over to the Palm. How does one do that with the iPhone or iPod Touch?

Brilliant review! As the author of a published review years ago of doc and ebook readers for the Palm, I know what goes into doing this. Lots of time, investigation, ruminating, and writing.

Your question intrigued me, so I went and downloaded the 6.5 megabyte PDF of The Crystal Stopper to try it out.

The good news is, it displays very legibly and clearly.

The bad news is, it is slower than molasses at turning pages, reacting to multi-touch zoom or scrolling, and in general. Apparently the size of the PDFs is just too much for it.

How good is the iPhone version of iSilo at reading the image-based PDFs downloadable from Google Books? Many thanks.
