The french antitrust autorities are looking into apple's iTunes right now(and apple have responded by warming up to DRM free content) and if amazon manage to build a kindle that's usable outside of the US(edge is not used outside of the US) they migt find themselves having to defend their DRM against some antitrust legislation.
