My vacation from the iPod continues, and, at least so far, my ears are better, just as my arm got better after I gave it a rest via dictation program. Of course, I'm almost certain that the iPod has done some permanent damange; the cause-effect seems pretty evident. It's from the show labeled "living without". Wow! It's real audio file, but still one of the most amazing audiocasts I've ever heard! I think a lot of the problem is not Apple-specific but just specific to listening to headphones in uncontrolled environments. You just don't realize how loud the volume is during certain contexts. Also, when working in a cubicle farm, it is comon to be wearing headphones for 6-8 hours a day. That can get fatiguing and it actually hurts my ears.
